Impact Lawyers co-founders complete Cardiff Half Marathon in support of two charities
Impact Lawyers co-founders Kevin Withane and Victoria Hall completed the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 4 October, raising money for two charities close to them: CARE | Recovery Council | Cyngor Adferiad and Pave The Way.
13.1 miles. Two important causes. One shared commitment to making a difference.
Running for causes close to home
The 13.1-mile challenge formed part of Impact’s fundraising campaign, with the firm pledging £1 to each charity for every new follower across its social media channels, up to a total donation of £500.
Both charities do important work in their communities. CARE supports people and families affected by addiction, while Pave The Way works to challenge harmful gender stereotypes and the barriers they can create.
The challenge was particularly personal for Kevin and Victoria. Victoria is a trustee of CARE, while Kevin is a trustee of Pave The Way, giving both co-founders a direct connection to the causes they were running to support.
They joined thousands of runners taking part in the 23rd Cardiff Half Marathon, which saw more than 30,000 people register across the weekend.
An extraordinary week for Impact
The race came at the end of an unusually busy few days for the Impact team.
Just days earlier, Impact announced that it had agreed terms to acquire The Legal Partners, a Richmond-based law firm specialising in business law, employment law and dispute resolution.
The acquisition will bring together two business-focused legal teams with a shared emphasis on practical, commercial and human advice.
That same weekend, Impact was named Employment Law Services of the Year at the Welsh Law Awards before going on to receive the evening’s overall award, Welsh Law Awards Champion 2026.
Growth means more than building a successful business. For us, it also means finding ways to support the people, organisations and communities around us.
Keeping community at the heart of what we do
The Cardiff Half Marathon provided a different way to round off an important week for the growing firm.
Amid the milestones, announcements and celebrations, the challenge brought one of Impact’s founding commitments firmly back into focus: using its growth to support the wider community.
Supporting charities is not just about fundraising. It is about recognising the work they do, helping raise awareness of their causes and contributing to positive change wherever we can.
Thank you for your support
We would like to thank everyone who followed our social media channels and helped support this fundraising campaign. Every new follower helped us contribute towards two causes that mean a great deal to our co-founders.
And well done to Kevin and Victoria for taking on the 13.1-mile challenge.
Thank you for your support. We are proud to play our part in supporting CARE and Pave The Way, and grateful to everyone who helped make this campaign possible.
