Employment Lawyer

With over 13 years’ post qualification experience Kate is an employment lawyer with broad expertise across the full spectrum of employment law matters.

She is known for providing pragmatic, strategic and solutions-orientated advice with a strong understanding of the commercial considerations which sit alongside complex workplace issues.

Her expertise encompasses the breadth of the employment relationship from recruitment and contractual arrangements through to workplace disputes, restructuring and termination issues, (including negotiated exits). She has significant experience in managing employment tribunal claims and uses her extensive experience of managing tribunal claims to secure favourable outcomes for her clients.

Kate currently works part-time as in-house employment counsel for a global technology company. Operating in a fast-paced, global environment has honed her ability to quickly identify and distil complex legal issues and deliver clear, actionable guidance that aligns with business objectives. Kate is particularly adept at mapping and communicating different options for her clients so they can assess the best course of action to take.

Prior to moving in-house and alongside her client work, Kate spent seven years as a university teacher at Cardiff University teaching employment law at masters level. This is where she discovered her love of training and regularly designs/delivers engaging training courses on a range of employment law topics.

When Kate is not at work, you will either find her at the beach or cheering her children on at various matches.
