Understanding the Employment Rights Act 2025 and what it means for your organisation.

The Employment Rights Act introduces the most far-reaching changes to UK employment law in decades, bringing forward a wide range of measures designed to enhance workplace rights and protections. While the legislation is now in place, the changes will be introduced gradually in line with the government's implementation timetable.

These reforms will have significant implications for employers of all sizes and across all sectors. Organisations will need to review their approach to workforce planning, organisational change, redundancies and contractual arrangements. Employment policies, procedures and day-to-day workplace practices are also likely to require updates, while employee representation and collective engagement are expected to play a more prominent role. Alongside these operational changes, employers should be prepared for the financial impact and resource commitments associated with compliance.

Understanding and implementing the new requirements can be challenging. That's why we've created this resource hub: a practical source of guidance, insights and updates to help business leaders, HR professionals, people teams and legal advisers confidently navigate the evolving employment law landscape.
